The confirmation number that you obtained at the time of filing your application to enter the DV lottery must be retained in order to check your application and your winning status. You will be able to check whether you had won the DV lottery only if you have the confirmation number, your name, surname and your date of birth. All the further information with respect to interview dates, time and location, may be obtained only through the entrant status check. You will not receive any postal mail or e-mail, stating that you had won the lottery or lost.
You may receive e-mails, asking you to check the entrant status check, for information about your interview, etc. The notification e-mails will not contain information about interview dates, time, etc.

The DV lottery applicant must have a high school education or a qualifying work experience for two years. If you are married, you must submit your original marriage certificate. That certificate must contain an authorized stamp or seal of the issuing authority. You must submit the original marriage certificate or a certified copy to the US Embassy, at the time of your interview. If you were divorced, supporting documentation must be attached.
You may also be required to provide financial evidence to demonstrate that you can support yourself financially and not become a public charge in the United States.
You must prepare carefully for your visa interview. If you fail to be well prepared for your interview, it may result in delay or denial of your visa.
