While thinking about a topic to write on for today, I came across this interesting piece on the CNN website:
http://edition.cnn.com/2012/12/11/opinion/ghadar-immigration-policy/index.html. This is a section in which people express their opinions and the link I have provided here is to the opinion of Fariborz Ghadar, whom the editor describes as “Fariborz Ghadar, a distinguished senior scholar and senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Affairs, is a professor and founding director of the Center for Global Business Studies at Penn State University.”
Ghadar writes to dispel the myths that people seem to hold about immigration. And he is of the opinion that changing these myths is important if the United States wants to create a good immigration policy. I found this article interesting since “Immigration Reform” is the next big thing on the American people’s mind after the “Fiscal Cliff.”
We also so during the elections how the Hispanics made it clear through their vote who they supported. It was a lesson well learned for the Republicans and they have definitely not forgotten such an important lesson. They are out to please the Hispanic voters as you can read here.
Do let me know what you think about immigration in general and about US immigration in particular.
